The Braunfels Foundation Trust's Summer Social is a highly anticipated event as it serves as the forum for the announcement of the new Living Legends of New Braunfels inductees, as well as an opportunity for the Barons and Baroness to mingle and enjoy some food, drinks, and fellowship.
With an inaugural event in 2001, the Braunfels Foundation Trust began presenting the Living Legends of New Braunfels Award. Each year at the BFT Celebration Luncheon, the Trust recognizes up to three Living Legends of New Braunfels for their years of dedicated support to the people, institutions, and history of our great community.
The award is one of the highest honors given to a resident of New Braunfels and honorees are considered "True Texas Legends."
The 2024 Living Legends of New Braunfels, as announced during the August 27th event, are Rusty Brockman, Dr. Carlos Campos, and Maurice Fischer. The social was held at La Cosecha Mexican Table in New Braunfels.
