The Braunfels Foundation Trust First Step Career Tech Scholarship Program is responsible for awarding dozens of Career and Technical Education (CTE) scholarships annually to qualified graduating seniors living in the New Braunfels Independent School District and Canyon Independent School District attendance zones who are intending to pursue a CTE related career after high school. Since 2013, the Trust has awarded 448 scholarships and allocated $721,100.

Funding for the Braunfels Foundation Trust First Step Career Tech Scholarship Program is generated from proceeds from the annual Tablescapes event and from individual donors. In 2024, those donors include the Herbert R. & Kathleen E. Schneider Scholarship Fund which funded two scholarships, Brenda & Bob Cuvelier (BrightStar), Lynda & Dale Campbell, Erna & Harvey Haas, Shirley & Mike Kivlin, and Bette & Mike Spain.​

Congratulations to the 2024 First Step Career Tech Scholarship Recipients 

On April 18th at the McKenna Event Center Ballroom, The Braunfels Foundation Trust awarded fifty $2,500 CTE Scholarships to graduating seniors in the New Braunfels and Comal ISD attendance zones. The Barons and Baroness of the Trust and the graduates' families celebrated these students' accomplishments at the 2024 Scholarship Reception and Award Ceremony.
