In the summer of 2013, the Braunfels Foundation Trust launched the First Step Campaign, a five-year fundraising effort with a goal to raise $1 million. The idea was to provide $500,000 toward scholarships ($100,000 annually), and another $500,000 into building the assets of the Trust through investment.
